The Central Working Committee (CWC)
The Central Working Committee (CWC) was inaugurated on 19 th June 2003 at Block C, Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase II, Abuja. The Central Working Committee of the project has over forty (40) members made up of Heads of Parastatals of the Arts, Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, NEPAD, Nigeria, UNESCO – Nigeria, Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) the Media, public and private sectoral players. NACD has only recently successfully received collaboration nod from the Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and is in the process of negotiating collaboration with other agencies, whose inclusion will expand the membership of the Central Working Committee.
There are a total of 18 Sub-committees already formed which is expected to facilitate the workings of the CWC to producing the three versions of a fully loaded Cultural Directory. Professionals in the various fields of art, culture and tourism are from time to time co-opted to serve in the various sub-committees. The 18 sub-committees are:

- Contemporary Arts; and
- Budget and Planning
- Action Plan/Publication sub-committees
